K–5 teachers practicing the craft of the self-managed classroom — together.
An interest group for elementary teachers who want fewer chaos hours and more self-managed students — with shared language, weekly practice, and Hallway Notes that travel. Members are called Classroom Masters.
Why this name
You don’t join a feed. You become a Classroom Master.
Naming is product strategy. We chose language students already hear in a Classroom Mastery room — identity that scales from one teacher to a whole hallway.
Sounds like a teachers’ guild: peers leveling a craft, not students labeled “self-managers.”
Sits cleanly next to the product brand Classroom Mastery without copying the full product name.
Works for free Explorers and later Mentor Classroom Masters on a campus without a rename.
Alternates we parked
- The Self-Managers. Strong product echo for student identity; better as a classroom phrase than a teacher-group name.
- Calm Keepers. Warm but softer — better as a sub-badge than the main identity.
- Mastery Circle. Premium cohort feel; use for paid live bootcamps if needed.

We gamify practice, not popularity. If a mechanic would embarrass a tired Thursday teacher, it doesn’t ship.

Mechanic: Check off one practiced ritual per school day (or 4/5 weekdays). Streak freezes on weekends and planned breaks.
Why it fits: Teachers already track habits for students; mirroring that for their own craft feels congruent.
Risk: Streak anxiety — pair with freezes/skip tokens.
Craft badges (not cartoon medals)
Mechanic: Earn named badges for proof-of-practice: Door Greeter (10 days of Greeting Ritual), Theme Master (4 Theme Contests), Reflection Coach (10 sheets used well), Hallway Author (published note), Pod Anchor (led a 3-teacher pod).
Why it fits: Portfolio of skill, portable to campus resumes and mentor applications.
Risk: Badge inflation if awarded for clicks only — require evidence.
21-Day Quest board
Mechanic: Linear quest matching the Quick Start Guide. Each day unlocks a micro-task + optional photo/note evidence mailbox.
Why it fits: Maps 1:1 to an existing product — no fake metagame.
Risk: Dropout around day 8 without buddy or email nudges.
Theme Contest challenge deck
Mechanic: Weekly community Theme Contest focus (e.g. Quiet Hands Week). Members optional-submit a 15-sec hallway result.
Why it fits: Same tool they use with kids, adult meta-layer.
Risk: Video privacy — default to no student faces, board photos only.
Later / use with care
Calm Points (soft XP)
Points for installs, Hallway Notes, helping a peer, finishing a module — redeemable only for meaningful unlocks (office-hours seat, printable specialty pack), never cash.
Risk: Feels childish if point values are nestled next to serious PD.
Leaderboards
Public ranking of streaks or XP by week/month.
Risk: High — use opt-in campus-only boards, never global teacher shame boards.
August Calm Cup (team)
Campus or grade teams complete a 10-day install checklist. Top teams earn facilitator seat discounts or a feature story — team scoring, not individual ranking.
Risk: Medium — needs clear ethics (no faked data).
Spin-the-wheel / random loot
Daily spin for captions or stickers.
Risk: Very high brand mismatch — avoid.
The pledge
Say it once. Practice it daily.
I am a Classroom Master. I teach K–5 students to manage themselves so I can teach again. This month I will install one ritual with consistency, tell the truth about what is hard, and share one Hallway Note when something works. High warmth. High standards. No chaos tax.
