Most classroom management plans die in the binder because they ask you to change everything before Monday morning. Classroom Mastery starts smaller: five days, five installs, one calmer room.

Day 1 — Greeting Ritual. Meet students at the door. Name, eye contact, a brief human moment. You are not becoming their peer. You are filling the relationship tank that makes instructional discipline stick later.

Day 2 — Student bios. Collect tiny facts: pets, teams, siblings, what they’re proud of. Keep a simple sheet or notebook. When you can separate the child from the behavior, discipline becomes teaching instead of war.

Day 3 — Rules with buy-in. Students help name the agreements. You still decide. Post the final list where everyone can see it and review it while it’s new.

Day 4 — Theme Contest. Make self-control visible. A short, playful spotlight on one habit (blurting, transitions, voices) turns abstract expectations into practice kids can feel.

Day 5 — Consequences + Reflection Sheet. When a habit slips repeatedly, don’t lecture a novel. Use a reflection tool that asks the student to name what happened, what choice they own, and what they’ll try next.

That’s Week One in miniature. The full 21-Day Quick Start Guide layers listening, I-Messages, credibility, accountability, Countdown, and NFD on top of this foundation.
